Objective

Avatar was chosen to create a site that acted as a virtual passport to Chaa Creek, a gorgeous, exclusive destination resort and jungle lodge located in Belize. Winning “Best Eco Resort in the Caribbean” four years and running, it was Avatar’s goal to make new visitors feel the sensations of Chaa Creek’s paradise.

Solution

The entire focus of Avatar’s design was to create an “amuse bouche” of Chaa Creek’s stunning resort, not just in terms of taste, but for all the senses. The vibrant photos depict a place of wonder, relaxation, and excitement and give vacationers a tease of what to expect when they arrive. Avatar wanted to leave site vistors informed and hungry for the real thing. The incorporation of the authentic, whismical sounds of Belize instantly whisks visitors away to the mood and sensations of the luxury lodge. Featuring a site map that answers any traveler’s questions and video “mini tours” of the fantastic destinations that can be chosen, Chaacreek.com was designed to lure. Behind the scenes, Avatar created a content management system to allow the site to be refreshed with new information and photography whenever needed. Offering customized application development, hosting, and search engine optimization, Avatar has left all the dream-making and vacation-fantasizing to the viewer.

Results

In addition to the many accolades Chaa Creek has received from its visitors and returning visitors, Avatar has also won “Award of Excellence” for Travel from the Communicator Awards, “Travel Standard of Excellence” by the Web Marketing Association, “Silver Winner Travel Website” award by W3, “Bronze award for “Self Promotion / Company Identity” from Horizon Interactive for their site design and technology.
