Objective
Eliminate the need for a network of Yamaha piano dealers to warehouse thousands of Pianosoft (piano software) titles by centralizing distribution.
Solution
We built a B2B website that allows yamaha dealer customers to choose selections from an in-store kiosk. The dealer then downloads the software and label with song/artist/track titles from the backend website for the user upon purchase in a matter of minutes. In addition to this, we also provided several reporting tools that allow Yamaha to automatically invoice dealers on a monthly basis, analyze how many musical selections are being sold, and see which tracks are selling.
Results
The results were extraordinary. Our solution eliminated the need of warehousing, cut back on dealer costs, increased overall Pianosoft revenue, and gave customers more flexibility in choosing Pianosoft selections. After the succesfull launch of Pianosoft.com, Yamaha asked us to redesign DigitalMusicNotebook.com, a new multimedia platform for music tuition and performance.
